Welcome to yet another installment of SC2GG's Top 10! It's March, and there's a buzz in the air among SC fans: the swarm is emerging from their winter hibernation while some of the dragons have receded back to their dens. Which players have come out of their winter hibernation and which can't stand the spring heat? Read on to find out. _____________________________________________________________________ YellOw[ArnC] - 13Last Month: #4 - High: #4 _____________________________________________________________________ “February was a humbling month for Yarnc. He went up against seven other players who also found themselves in this month's Top 10, and he came out 3-9 against them. It's clear that Myungsoo isn't quite in the same league as the players above him, but regardless, his strong performances in Winners League as well as two decent Starleague runs keeps him from falling off this list.” - p4NDemik _____________________________________________________________________ ZerO - 26Last Month: NR - High: #9 _____________________________________________________________________ “From ZerO to hero. The young Woongjin Zerg put himself in prime position these past few weeks to possibly set himself up for a MSL title. After cruising through sAviOr and Yarnc, ZerO has to take on yet another Zerg in the semifinals - the hot-handed Luxury. ZerO has been rock solid as of late. In the Winners League, he's kept Woongjin's hopes high with several big victories, and the majority of his losses have only been to top-notch players. He is a funny-looking kid, but he's got a lot of potential to be a star in the coming months.” - BachHo _____________________________________________________________________ Hwasin - 30 (1) Last Month: NR - High: #5 _____________________________________________________________________ "Hwasin has a really nice road to the OSL finals. From the way he's been playing, I can't really see him losing to by.hero, and I can see him scraping past either Stork or Jaedong. Okay, he's not exactly the most consistent beast, but boy can he play when he wants to." - Revolutionary _____________________________________________________________________ Stork - 58Last Month: NR - High: #1 _____________________________________________________________________ “He may not be at his legendary Incruit level of play, but Stork is in both Starleagues. He survived a night of pure tiebreaker hell in the OSL and clawed his way through his games against Kwanro in the MSL. Stork is getting that passion again, and when Stork really wants a win, you lose.” - NukeTheStars _____________________________________________________________________ Flash - 71Last Month: #3 - High: #1 _____________________________________________________________________ "Yes, Flash is out of both Starleagues but it's hard to blame him for losing to players like BeSt and Leta a few hours after nearly all killing eSTRO. He is the most feared player in Winners League and has crushed top teams almost single-handedly. So far, his Starleague eliminations have yet to phase him." - RainmanMP _____________________________________________________________________ Leta - 77 (1) Last Month: #1 - High: #1 _____________________________________________________________________ "Leta ended February on a very sour note, getting ousted from the MSL and OSL in consecutive nights. He continues to show dominance in the Winners League, but until he manages to break through into the very late stages of the individual tournaments, he'll never be reaching his true potential." - WorldCommunist8 _____________________________________________________________________ JangBi - 91Last Month: #7 - High: #3 _____________________________________________________________________ "Suddenly, KHAN is reduced to one consistent Proleague ace, and they keep winning. The number of times JangBi has had to three-kill despite KHAN's talent is ridiculous, and he's been the only factor keeping them from going under throughout Winners League. His ridiculous PvT makes him a favorite in the MSL as well: JangBi has a quiet dominance that a lot of people ignore because it goes without saying." - VGhost _____________________________________________________________________ Luxury - 100 (1) Last Month: #5 - High: #3 _____________________________________________________________________ "Luxury has to be happy with his current Starleague situation. He's in the semifinals of the MSL facing a Zerg opponent, and he has to be confident in his chances to make the finals. Not to mention he is still alive in the OSL quarterfinals, making him one of just two players who have hopes in both leagues. Now is not the time for Luxury to sit back and relax though - the next month will probably be the most important in his professional career, and he needs to be in peak form." - p4NDemik _____________________________________________________________________ Jaedong - 118 (5) Last Month: #2 - High: #1 _____________________________________________________________________ "Despite being knocked out of the MSL, Jaedong has still been red-hot all month long. He pulled out of a tough OSL group to move on to the Round of 8 and he's been playing top-notch StarCraft throughout Winners League, including an ACE all-kill. There's really nothing to hate about Jaedong at the moment. His only losses were to S-Class players including Flash and Bisu (who he was able to defeat in a stunning best-of-five series). Jaedong is still one of the most dominating players in the StarCraft universe, and will continue to be for months to come.” - BachHo _____________________________________________________________________ Bisu - 124 (6) Last Month: #6 - High: #1 _____________________________________________________________________ "Losing to Jaedong 3-2 is nothing to be ashamed of. Especially when you beat him just a few days earlier. He's on a hot streak and there have been talks of Bisu as the first Protoss Bonjwa. Too early to call for me but he has been knocking down most opponents in the Winners League like dominoes. His OSL run has also been spectacular, 3-0ing his group." - neobowman _____________________________________________________________________ The Rest of the Pack: sAviOr - 12, NaDa - 10, hyvaa - 8, BeSt - 6, free - 4, Kwanro - 4, fOrGG - 3, UpMagiC - 3, fantasy - 2, by.hero - 2, Light - 2, Anytime - 2, Reach - 2, sKyHigh - 1, Calm - 1 _____________________________________________________________________

Bisu and Jaedong were so close it wasn't funny. The top 3 were actually fairly easy to pick, it was just a matter of ordering. After that though, it was tough.

So much zerg in the top 10! Savior sorta lost his game at the end of the month, so he isn't quite top 10 material. FBh has totally dropped of the charts in the past few months. He hasn't been playing much or well.

#1 Hyuk fan. Hyuk will be the last SC:BW bonjwa. "They're talking to Stork and seeing what he thinks. He's like 'Yeah I'm a pimp, but what about the game?'" ~Moletrap (from the most amazing game ever played: Stork vs. GGPlay).

QUOTE (Youma @ Mar 5 2009, 07:01 PM) Great list, pretty much agree 100%. There's can't be a zerg on the planet, pro or otherwise, that doesn't have nightmares about Bisu's speedlot/archon armies right now.. SpoilerShow/Hide Spoiler By.Hero. Part of the reason that I voted for him.

Points. Because the people not in the top 10 still got votes, you know?

QUOTE (Stevethemacguy @ Mar 6 2009, 06:40 AM) I think Stork may have got shafted just a little bit considering he's still in both Starleagues and Flash and Leta are out of both. On a game-to-game basis, who would you rather play: Stork, or one of Flash/Leta? If it's an ace game, who do you want playing for you: Stork, or one of Flash/Leta? Power poll isn't done strictly on current accomplishments. Sheer scary has a lot to do with it, and while Stork is amazingly good he isn't "Oh God I have to play _____, WHY?" good. Not right now. Flash and Leta both are.
