so me and a friend of mine started to do some dual commentaries today. We use skype and we use audacity to record our voices. but once that was done, i found that he had to send his audacity files to me over the internet, which was a huuge hassle because he had to compress it in a RAR file then upload it to megaupload then i could download it, this way, of course would not be very convenient if we did this for more than a few games a year. I read in the guides that u use ventrilo to do this, but i found that ventrilo would have huge lag segments where his voice would not come out till like 5 seconds later.
I was wondering if there was any other way to do this not using ventrilo, that would be just as efficient.

Skype and Audacity is fine. I don't know why he has to send his audacity files to you though. Why don't you record both your voice and his on your computer?

Are you sure ventrilo recorded the lag? Often times, during duals, ventrilo will drop out and then jump back with the audio, but on the recording, it will be normal. There just might be a lag on the other end, because the person is waiting for the other person to end. A good way around the waiting is to watch the little speech speaker. If you're doing standard holding of alt to talk, when you release, it turns red again. So, the other person will know when to talk, even if they still hear the commentating.

ah but there is a problem there Nuke, often in duals, the second person will try to follow up to what the first person is saying. so......... in terms of this, there would be a lot of confusion for the listeners as well as the commentators because there is a lot of repetition
