Ok, so I'm writing a big guide on How to make a melee map for the Teamliquid sc2 beta key competition.
It's hard to make a complete compilation on everything you need to know and be aware of when making a map. So to help me out (and help you out), please post here anything you would like to know more about in mapping, how to do this or that, why this or that is important, etc. I'll make sure to address it in my guide.

Construction of a half-decent three player map XD.
I guess Testbug would be a better person to consult on that but it would be nice to read about it here a bit.
Also, space management in a map. What to do with the space that is given.

Yeah that's the trick isn't it?
Personally, I learned about space management from studying Othello and Byzantium, crazy maps.

Please teach ramps and stuff- like on heartbreak, but just ramps in general
definitely makes for interesting maps

What I am most interested in would be.. Resources, how, where how much and that sort of stuff, is there any convention on standards or similar?
