So it's a well known fact: my TvZ sucks.

I've had to get creative lately. Basically I blended a build I saw Nada do vs Savior years ago on Peaks with Leta wraith into mnm action. I do not take credit for this build! I simply practiced it WAY too much and the result has been 100% win ratio TvZ on Blue Storm in wcg qualifiers and on iccup vs random nubs. I actually cannot remember the last time I lost attempting this build on blue storm TvZ.

Basically wall off your base, pray he doesn't drone scout really early and scouts ur fast gas. Send scv at 12 to scout and another scv at 14 to build the proxy fact at 12 or 6 oclock respectively. Do NOT let the zerg see the 2nd scv leave. If it's impossible to get a 2nd scv out of ur base without him seeing sometimes I use only the 12scv to build the proxyfact. As soon as the proxy fact finishes you want to throw down 2 starports and lift the fact into his base and pump vults. Vs day9 you can see I wait for a couple vults before moving. vs lastgosu it was rushed because he scouted around for proxy and saw it.

The plan is to harass as much as possible with vults and wraiths and then transition into solid mnm play which is something Leta has been doing alot recently in TvZ. It's very fun and I love how the games transition. And since my standard TvZ sucks so bad I've had lots of fun playing around with this build.

the game vs day9 gets messy and pretty crazy as it moves on. vs lastgosu I transition much better into mnm vs his hydra/muta build.

Either way I've yet to lose with this build and I just thought I'd share since I have some free time now that I'm forcing myself to stay away from the game following last nights pathetic loss in the ro16.

The perfect Strategy TvZ. If Lucky had listened to me, he would have defeated day9 and lastgosu, but nooo, he didn't use Perfect Strategy TvZ in every game vs them, and lost when he didn't.

Its just all the other games were on python and that map makes me want to play standard even though my standard play blows! argh!

Booo. You can do the same thing on destination, but it's better on BS because the main is larger so you have more maneuvering room. On the other hand, hydras have more room to work with against wraiths, so the mineral line in the main should be fine. I think smart Zergs will realize that you're going mech because you aren't pumping rines, but I think the real strength of this build comes in forcing the Zerg to place an extra sunken at his main.

This build feels more suited to destination than to blue storm, and I'm pretty sure that I've stopped it on desti, so I don't see why Zergs can't stop it on BS.

I guess it goes without saying this will work on C- zergs? xP

i don't really trust those paper planes ... sounds like a great BO, i just don't have the speed to get it done i think ... i'll stick with my MnM for now

So scouting prevents this build o-o;;;;; thank god i'm early scount 9 pool into 3 hatch zerg o-o;;;;;

One interesting build that involves the same amount of marines is 1rax into CC. Usually if the zerg player is smart he'll hover an overlord close enough to scout for this though.

This build is definitely viable on desti, blue storm and peaks of baekdu. Desti is better suited for an 8rax bunker rush into proxyfact into wraiths though. That's the ultimate harass annoyance build for the Z.

And yeah Mamba this build is pretty hardcore with the micro aspect of it. You HAVE GOT to get things done with the wraiths or your finished. This means it's micro time! Just know this: 7wraiths 1shot drones and like 11 1shot hydras I believe. If you get 11 going hydras aren't even a big worry anymore. But usually by then the Z is transitioning into muta or has a crapload of hydras coming for ur main.

7 or 11 wraiths, so you're really going hardcore with this build, eh?

I have a PvZ build that utilizes scouts.. and basically the same premise is I use the scouts for the exact purpose of sniping as many ovies as I can, keeping his supply low and/or blocked, while I overrun with speed lot/archon.

It's not exactly all-in, but, it can be close to it.

yeah I have to go all in because I suck so hardcore straight up these days. I shouldn't have played some games today I lost them all.

Well play around with it and find out, each situation is different I'm sure, so try his build and see when a good time would be.

As for lucky, lol really man? Because I've just been on a tear recently... against Terran and Zerg mostly, haven't had many PvPs, but the ones I have I've done really well in.. so. But I know where you're coming from, I remember a few months ago I was struggling vs. like 150-150 D+ users, just sometimes you hit a couple bumps in the road.

On topic: What timing does the vulture have with respect to the den timing? Whenever I play a Terran, his vulture always comes to my natural right as my hydras hatch or while they're building. Does the vulture finish right when my hydras start hatching or what? I'm curious because you need to take time to lift off and float into my base too.

It's hard to explain but I've lost all desire to continue playing sc after losing in that wcg qualifier on Wednesday. I've tried to play some games today on sc2gg and on iccup and I didn't win a single game anywhere. I even went to a fresh account and after going 0-2 at D rank I couldn't go on lol.

I spent SO much practice time leading up to that match the other day... I was so pissed when I lost and it's done something to my game. Now every time I sit down to play a game of sc I'm forgetting multiple things in each game for every matchup at any rank vs any opponent. It must be some subconscious thing or something. I've forgotten how to win rofl.

I think I've spent too much time practicing this godawful game lately and it's seriously messing with my mind.

What I need now is an indefinite vacation from playing sc. I'm not even having fun playing anymore. Fun kinda gets lost when you go 1-14 in a day. Yep that's my record today, I actually did win a game vs Magnum but I can't really count that lawl, he dropped before the game was over anyway. After going 0-5 vs myst and urz on sc2gg I hopped onto iccup lost like 4 C- games and left sc for a few hours. told myself I had been playing good opponents and it's just a phase.

Came back tonight to build a little confidence back at D and lost 2 there just now.

Kinda crushed the last little will that I had left.

0-5? I'm pretty sure it was only a BO3. I think if you really feel that down about SC just take a break. Right now I'm kind of kicking back instead of ICcuping or anything like that. I played semihbabe right after I played those two vs you and lost 3 more bad ones.

I'm just down because I spend so much time practicing this game and I'm still so bad. I set high standards for myself though. Sometimes too high. But I like pushing myself. I shouldn't take things so seriously. It was just one bad day... But it was probably the worst day I've had ever.

That's one thing that's always plagued me, I go for LONG stretches where I play like shit and it kinda crushes me.

I just went 0-4 today and my main acct is D- It's as if I don't care to play anymore. I was trying my hardest in every game and didn't do anything right.

I had to just uninstall sc. I don't even know where my original cd is either so I won't be reinstalling for quite some time.

meh, good job on deciding on that =o! Slump modes are a bish, and during it, the most important thing is to just take times off to prepare things mentally. Take a break and just enjoy life ^-^;;;

I tried to quit about a month ago and left sc installed but I found myself playing 15 games on iccup nightly 3 days later.

Had to take a bit more extreme measures this time since apparently I'm not able to control myself.

I'm done with broodwar for the foreseeable future and I feel relieved. It wasn't the recent losing streak that was the sole reason for my giving it up. It was a number of factors primarily a losing interest in the game which was making playing not fun anymore. Even when I won games I was angry with mistakes that I had made.

Hahaha... what kind of loser gets mad at losing a Brood War game, I mean, they'd have to be a real nut job to get riled up from that? Am I right? Hahaha...

Ok guys this vid I'm working on is totally kickass and I only have like 2 minutes of footage. 4 hours of work so far has resulted in only 2 minutes, that's when you know you're editing ALOT. I'm not a big person on effects I like to record the footage and find some amazing music and let it roll. I have been trying to play around with a couple new things every time I sit down to make one of these things lately and this time is no exception.

In my opinion this is the coolest vid I've made to date. If all goes according to plan we should go live with it tomorrow night.

Hey lucky, I just saw this today because I saw your highlight video on youtube, and just decided to check out sc2gg. It sucks that you're quitting, but just know that even you in your worst state is still better than quite a few people in their best (me). I've been trying to perfect that timing push that you demonstrated in your first video way back when, and I still can't do it T_T. No matter what I do, neobowman still kills me >_<.

Well, I suppose that if you really don't feel like playing, I won't be able to change your mind. I thought that the uninstalling was a bit extreme though. Just take a break for a few days, weeks, or months if necessary, and a couple months from now, when you come back, it'll be fun again.

Aaaaanyway, the video is quite nice, but I don't really understand how you would defend if they have hydras out by the time your wraiths get in. 3 or 4 hatch hydras seem to own you...
